Just last week, we brought you a story about Warner Bros. Pictures‘ plans to present a six-minute prologue for director Christopher Nolan‘s forthcoming bat-film, The Dark Knight Rises prior to early release showings of Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol in IMAX theaters on December 16th.
Now, AMC Theatres has confirmed the story and added that the aforementioned prologue will only be played at 70mm IMAX screens and not any digital IMAX locations. You can search for real IMAX theaters worldwide over at LFExaminer and, only because I have no idea how often their list is updated, I would make sure to call your chosen theater to verify that they are still using 70mm IMAX at that location.
If and when IMAX or Warner Bros. Pictures releases an official list of participating theater locations, we will bring it to you right here on SciFiMafia.com
Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol is slated to hit IMAX theaters on December 16th, 2011 and traditional theaters on December 21st, 2011.
The Dark Knight Rises is slated to hit theaters on July 20th, 2012.
