A post-apocalyptic context is the setting du jour these last few years. It’s a common theme in many of popular movies and television shows. Now it looks like Real Steel director Shawn Levy is heading down that road as well with a new Paramount Pictures project.

THR reports that Paramount Pictures is in talks for Monster Problems, a spec script by Brian Duffield (Jane Got a Gun, Your Bridesmaid’s a Bitch) that Levy’s production company, 21 Laps will produce. The project is described as “a post-apocalyptic road movie in the vein of Mad Max and Zombieland with a John Hughes-esque love story at its center”.

No production or release dates have been announced for Monster Problems.
