Fans of Serenity and Firefly are some of the most die-hard fans out there.  Michael C. Dougherty and Steven Fisher are behind this Joss Whedon-blessed fan effort to continue the Serenity universe in a spin-off movie that they call “Browncoats: Redemption”, but this is no ordinary fan effort.  In browncoat spirit, 100% of the profit from the DVD sales will be donated to charity.  Among the charities benefiting from this film are: Equality Now, Kids Need to Read, Dyslexia Foundation, the Al Wooten Jr. Heritage Center, and the Marine Corps – Law Enforcement Foundation.
