Think that Batman: Arkham City will tell its story in one go like the previous installment? Not according to Kevin Conroy, the Voice Behind the Bat. Conroy revealed in an interview recently that Arkham City will be ongoing, with the ability to download future episodes.
“The thing about Arkham City is that it’s going to be an ongoing game. You’re going to be able to download future episodes of it, so it’s going to be going on for quite a while. I’ve been recording it for a while.”
We already know that side missions will be available through DLC, but what is this talk of “episodes”? Is Conroy simply referring to the inclusion of the already announced DLC or will Rocksteady add whole new story pieces to the game?
Batman: Arkham City is the sequel to 2009’s the critically (and fan) acclaimed Batman: Arkham Asylum. The game features co-op play in which the Dark Knight can team up with allies Robin and Catwoman to take on the likes of Two Face, The Penguin, and The Riddler. Look for it in stores on October 18 in the U.S. and on the 21st in Europe.
