Looks like another Stephen King book was just added to my to-read list. His book Cell about an apocalypse spread through cell phones is on its way to being made into a movie for Benaroya Pictures and The Genre Company. Here’s the synopsis for the book.

WHERE WERE YOU ON OCTOBER 1ST AT 3:03 P.M.?

Graphic artist Clay Riddell was in the heart of Boston on that brilliant autumn afternoon when hell was unleashed before his eyes. Without warning, carnage and chaos reigned. Ordinary people fell victim to the basest, most animalistic destruction.

And the apocalypse began with the ring of a cell phone….

cusack and jackson

According to THR, John Cusack is set to play Clay Riddell (mentioned above) and Samuel L. Jackson is set to play opposite him as Tom McCourt, a former soldier and engineer. It is to be directed by Tod “Kip” Williams (Paranormal Activity 2).

We’ll keep you posted on the latest for Cell.
