Actor Bruce Campbell, who appears in all three Spider-Man films, mentioned over a month ago that he would have a significant role in Spider-Man 4, but the part was never confirmed by director Sam Raimi…until now.

When asked by MTV News about Campbell’s participation, Raimi laughed and said,

“I promised him we would write something because I really love putting him in the pictures. I promised him a good, meaty role.”

When asked what role Campbell would play, Raimi said,

“I don’t even know what it is yet.”
