Ryan Reynolds And DEADPOOL Writers Talk “Every Single Day”

Ever since the “Deadpool” movie was announced, star – Ryan Reynolds hasn’t been shy about his desire for the film to stick to the character’s comic book roots, namely the costume and breaking the fourth wall. Writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (Zombieland) are currently handling the script for “Deadpool”, and people are probably wondering how much respect they have for Reynolds’ wishes. Luckily, it sounds like Reynolds has been tethered to them, every step of the way.

During an interview at the Sundance Film Festival – Reynolds said,

“I talk to them every single day, We’re all very sick of each other already. It’s actually a really wonderful creative trifecta — we’re having a very good time.”

Reynolds said that Reese and Wernick are the perfect for the “Deadpool” screenplay,

“Tonally, they got it, they just [understood ‘Deadpool’] right off the bat. They’re fans of the character and they were so excited. We couldn’t have done any better [than Reese and Wernick].”
