We reported back in March that 20th Century Fox had picked up the rights to The Shadow and the rumor that director David Slade (30 Days of Night, Eclipse) was possibly taking over directorial duties from Sam Raimi (Drag Me to Hell), who was on-board when the film was over at Sony.
Now, Pajiba is reporting that Quentin Tarantino (Kill Bill: Vol. 3) is now attached to direct the remake of The Shadow. They report that Slade had never been confirmed to direct the film and Tarantino has taken on the project, and is also re-writing Siavash Farahani‘s script.
Tarantino’s representative told MTV:
“There is no truth to this story.”
The Shadow is slated to hit theaters in 2012.
