We’re all waiting impatiently to see what new superhero movie Marvel Studios is going to release post-Avengers. Sure, we already know that Iron Man 3, Thor 2, and Captain America 2 are on their way, and characters like Ant-Man, Iron Fist, Black Panther and Doctor Strange have either been confirmed or rumored to be in the studios’ pipeline, but which hero will make it to the big-screen first?
Back in January, when we brought you the news when Marvel Studios hired screenwriter Mark Bailey to pen the big-screen adaptation of the comic book series Black Panther, we thought that would be the last we heard on the project for quite awhile. Now, the folks over at Latino-Review are reporting that several trusted sources of theirs have confirmed that Black Panther will be the film that occupies the previously Untitled Marvel Movie #1 slot, slated for a May 16th, 2014 release date.
We’re going to classify this as a rumor for now, but the source is usually spot-on with their Marvel movie scoops, so I would believe it’s likely true.
No Production or release dates have officially been set for Black Panther.
