Rumor Has It! Fox Has 3 Directors In Mind for the Fantastic Four Reboot and Wants Bruce Willis To Voice The Thing

Earlier today, we brought you a report about 20th Century Fox reportedly sending out an offer to Stephen Moyer (True Blood) to join the cast of the Fantastic Four reboot as the villainous Latverian, Doctor ‘Victor’ Von Doom in the film.

Now, CBM says that 20th Century Fox is considering directors Joe Carnahan (The A-Team), James McTeigue (V for Vendetta,The Raven) and David Yates (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows) to helm their reboot of Fantastic Four, and they also report that Fox has their sights set on Bruce Willis (RED, Kane & Lynch) to voice the entirely CG version of the quartet’s ever-lovin’ blue-eyed Thing.

[The Shakedown]

While this is obviously a rumor until confirmed by the studio, there is one thing that makes me doubt the claim about Bruce Willis voicing The Thing. Why would the studio pay “Bruce Willis Money” for him to join a cast and have no physical presence in the film? I personally think they should stick with Michael Chiklis for the voice, he did a good job in the previous FF films as Ben Grimm and his voice was solid… the rubber suit wasn’t his fault.
