Rumor Has It! Armie Hammer, Taylor Kitsch, or Garrett Hedlund for CATCHING FIRE?

Just last week, we brought you news that Lionsgate tweaked the title of the Hunger Games sequel to become The Hunger Games: Catching Fire following locking in director Francis Lawrence (Constantine, I Am Legend) and writer Michael Arndt (Toy Story 3, Little Miss Sunshine). Now, the studio is said to be entertaining three actors to play Finnick Odair, the trident-wielding male victor from District 4.

EOnline reports that Lionsgate is thinking of Armie Hammer (Lone Ranger, Mirror Mirror), Taylor Kitsch (Battleship, John Carter), and Garrett Hedlund (On the Road, Tron Legacy) or perhaps maybe even casting an unknown in the potentially career-launching role.

Shooting is scheduled to begin this fall for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire so we will most likely hear a decision about this casting very soon. And contrary to early rumors, Twilight star Robert Pattinson is not seeking the role.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is slated to hit theaters on November 22nd, 2013.
