Robert Rodriguez is prepping a pair of movies.

First up is Nerverackers, now in pre-production and then, confirmed to MTV as his next project, is the long brewing live-action adaptation of The Jetsons.

Robert Rodriguez has a lot on his plate these days with all the movies he plans on making. He’s talked about the ‘Predator’ Reboot, ‘Sin City 2′, The Grindhouse spin-off ‘Machete’, and his Sci-fi thriller ‘Nerverackers’ and while it has been mentioned in the past, his live action version of ‘The Jetsons’ is what he’s starting next year.

‘The Jetsons’ will be a live-action version of the futuristic 1960’s cartoon.

“I’ve been developing [The Jetsons] for awhile,” Rodriguez said, adding that he’s hoping to start shooting “next year. We’re writing the script right now.

So I guess that means we’ll be waiting quite some time for the for the good stuff from Rodriguez. I was really hoping for ‘Sin City 2’ and ‘Nerverackers’ some time before the next millennium but apparently Robert has different ideas.
