Robert Rodriguez Says SIN CITY 2 Will Finally Begin Production This Summer

In August of last year, we brought you the news when Robert Rodriguez (Machete Kills) reportedly recruited Oscar-winning writer William Monahan (Oblivion, The Departed) to lend a hand with the script for the long-awaited, often delayed follow up to the 2005 adaptation of Frank Miller‘s neo-noir series of graphic novels.

In a recent interview at SXSW, Rodriguez told THR that that Sin City 2 is back on track, should finally go into production this summer and will feature a cast “of the same caliber and eclecticism” as the first film.

No release date for Sin City 2 has been announced.
