Robert Downey Jr. is currently in talks with Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures to star in director Alfonso Cuaron’s Gravity, which was written by Cuaron and his son Jonas.. a 3D space film at Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures. The script had been originally developed at Universal with the intention of having Angelina Jolie play the female role, when Jolie passed – so did Universal.

RDJ would play the leader of a team posted at a space station. While he and a female colleague are traveling outside the space station, the other team members are decimated by debris from an exploded satellite.
