Channing Tatum (G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra) is reportedly attached to star in a new sci-fi film entitled, ION. The film will be produced by Tony Scott (The A-Team) and Ridley Scott‘s (Robin Hood). 20th Century Fox‘s Fox 2000 label is likely to pick up the spec script written by Will Dunn.

THR reports that ION is a “sci-fi romantic epic.” The story revolves around a man who travels throughout the different Earth’s in the universe to try and find his lover who was reincarnated.

The script is being compared to James Cameron‘s Avatar in terms of its scope and fantasy elements.
