Earlier this Summer, we brought you the news about actress Milla Jovovich announcing the official title for the Resident Evil: Afterlife follow-up, Rsident Evil: Retribution. Before that, in March, actress Sienna Guillory announced on twitter that she was starting a training regimen to prepare for her return as Jill Valentine in what she then referred to as Resident Evil 5.

Guillory said,

“RE:5 alert! Training begins! I aim to mostly put less in the big hole on the front of my face than comes out of the little one on my arse.”

Now, Bloody Disgusting reports that director Paul W.S. Anderson is returning to helm the fifth installment, which we told you back in May that he’s also writing. They also had some unfortunate news about the aforementioned Sienna Guillory. The site reports that the character of Jill Valentine may be recast for the film.

Resident Evil: Retribution is slated to hit theaters on September 14, 2012.
