Reeves and Winter Confirm Script for BILL & TED 3 Is Complete and Awaiting Greenlight

Back in April, we brought you the news when Keanu Reeves (47 Ronin) spoke about the third Bill & Ted installment, revealing that the project was not only in motion but, the writers were just weeks away from turning in a draft of the script that will follow 1989’s Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure and 1991’s Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey.

Reeves said,

“I believe the writers are six weeks away from a draft. No pressure, guys! When we last got together, part of it was that Bill and Ted were supposed to have written the song that saved the world, and it hasn’t happened. So they’ve now become kind of possessed by trying to do that. Then there’s an element of time and they have to go back.”

Now, while speaking with the UK’s Independent, Mr. Reeves offered the following update:

“Yeah, we have a script,” he said. “We’re trying to put it together. It’s a good script, too.”

Reeves’ partner in crime, also known as actor/director Alex Winter (Ben 10: Alien Swarm, The Gate) had this to say, when asked about Bill & Ted 3 on Twitter:

So, we’re just waiting on a greenlight before Wyld Stallyns hit the big screen again… Excellent! We’ll keep you up to date on everything going down in San Dimas, right here on SciFi Mafia!
