R.I.P. Jerry Robinson

Jerry Robinson, creator of The Joker, Robin and Alfred passed away in his sleep last night at the age of 89. Robinson, who was inducted into the Comic Book Hall of Fame in 2004 was also known as an advocate for creator rights, and an avid comics historian.

In 2007, DC Entertainment hired Robinson as a creative consultant and the comics legend went on to lend his expertise to projects like the Christopher Nolan film, The Dark Knight.

On behalf of the writers and Mob of readers here at SciFiMafia, our hearts go out to Jerry Robinson’s family, friends and fans –  his contribution to the world of comics is immeasurable and though he will certainly be missed, he will live on through his creations.
