R.I.P. Comic-Con Co-Founder Richard Alf

Back in November of 2009, we sadly brought you the news of San Diego Comic-Con Co-Founders Sheldon Dorf and Ken Krueger passing away at the ages of 76 and 83 respectively. Unfortunately, we have yet another Comic-Con Co-Founder’s unfortunate passing to report.

Richard Alf, who served as the first San Diego Comic-Con’s chairman at the Grant Hotel in 1970, and financially contributed to fund the birth of the iconic gathering has passed away at the age of 59 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

Alf is survived by his Mother
