Disney has debuted the first trailer for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, based on the video game of the same name, on MySpace. Jake Gyllenhaal stars as Prince Dastan alongside of Gemma Arterton as Tamina, Alfred Molina, Ben Kingsley, and Toby Kebbell.

I’ve got to say, being a fan of the video games I was not expecting much from this movie (to say the least), in fact I was sure they’d screw it up, but I have to admit This looks pretty kick ass.

I really had my reservations about Gyllenhaal playing Dastan and thought some of the on set pics of him looked kinda ridiculous but I even have to pull back on that, it looks way better than I had expected and now I’m actually looking forward to seeing this.
