Last year, Sony Pictures and Happy Madison Productions picked up writer/director Patrick Jean‘s animated short film Pixels and hired Tim Herlihy to pen a feature-length adaptation of the short. Now, Sony Pictures Entertainment has announced that the big-screen version of Pixels will be hitting theaters on May 17th, 2013.
Sony originally had director Roland Emmerich‘s forthcoming project Singularity slated to hit theaters on that date and has now shifted that film to November 1st, 2013. In case you didn’t catch Pixels when it was floating around the internet last year, you can check out the short film below!
