Break out your quarters, or hook up your Atari and blow off the cartridges! According to the LA Times, Atari is holding active discussions with a number of studios over the possibility of bringing 1980s arcade title Missile Command to the silver screen. Fox and Peter Chernin’ s new production company is “the likely venue at which the property will end up”.

Missile Command is reportedly being pitched as a 3-D movie, but no information on the possible plot has been released. The game was originally released in 1980, and sees players defend the planet Zardon from the invaders of Krytol.
