PERCY JACKSON Billboard Invokes Nikola Tesla and Electrifies The Sunset Strip

Check out the lightning strike in the brand-new Percy Jackson billboard poster!

The billboard emits 1.2 million volts of pure lightning, the unique marketing tool employs some time-tested technology: its “lightning” is powered by a Tesla coil, which is a type of resonant transformer circuit invented by Nikola Tesla around 1891.[1] It is used to produce high voltage, high current, high frequency alternating current electricity.

Percy Jackson & Unnecessarily Long Title Percy Jackson and the Olyimpians: The Lightning Thief will be released next February and is being directed by Chris Columbus.

The film is based on the book by Rick Riordan and follows a young boy who discovers he is the descendant of a Greek god and sets out on an adventure to settle an on-going battle between the gods.
