Last month we told you that screenwriter, actor and director Barry Levinson (Brother Jack) was set to direct an indie sci-fi thriller entitled Isopod that is already shooting in South Carolina.

According to Screen Daily, Levinson’s film has now undergone a name change and will be titled The Bay, and has added Paranormal Activity producers Oren Peli, Jason Blum and Steven Schneider.

“THE BAY centres on the aftermath of a viral outbreak on the Eastern Seaboard. The story is told via a series of recordings on camera phones, 911 calls and other scraps of video as the town of Claridge, Maryland, is engulfed by chaos.”

The Bay is slated to hit theaters in 2011.
