MTV, the home of it-keeps-getting-even-better Teen Wolf, is working on a found-footage-type series along the lines of the Paranormal Activity movies or the hybrid series The River. And they have a perfect executive producer on board, Jason Blum; he was a producer on the Paranormal Activity movies and an executive producer on The River.

THR broke the news, and gave us a strong indication that this project would have similar spookiness to those other projects. This project is based on a story by Brian Horiuchi (Terminal D, RCVR, Parts Per Billion) and Miguel Sapochnik (House); Horiuchi will pen the script, while Sapochnik, whose directing credits include Fringe, Awake and Falling Skies (wow!) is set to direct.

They certainly have the genre background to make it great; here’s hoping! We’ll keep you posted.
