Paramount Developing Adaptation Of Last Man Standing: Killbook of a Bounty Hunter

Paramount Pictures has reportedly beat Summit Entertainment and Warner Bros. Pictures in a bidding war for the film rights to Daniel LuVisi‘s graphic novel, Last Man Standing: Killbook of a Bounty Hunter from Heavy Metal Publishing.

The story follows a bounty hunter named Gabriel. He was “created by a weapons organization to be part of its army of Paladins, ‘a soldier with the talent of 500 soldiers.'” After Gabriel is framed and sent to prison, Gabriel breaks out and goes into the world of New Amerika. It is filled with, among other things, genetically enhanced shark-men, ninjas and burlesque girls. Gabriel’s goal is to find out why he was set-up.

Scott Aversano (Ghosts/Aliens) is slated to produce alongside LuVisi.
