Once Upon a Time Creators: Lindelof Was the Show’s Godfather

The forthcoming ABC show Once Upon a Time was, as most people know, created by the writing team of Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis (Tron, Lost), who were at Comic-Con last week to promote their new show.

In this Digital Spy interview, they talk about Lost influence in the show, as well as the challenges of bringing a fantasy series to the network:

Sheesh, they practically stole my mantra of “there will never be another Beatles, and there will never be another Lost” but I will allow them to use it.

Although as they say there hasn’t been another series with a similar theme on tv, at least not in recent memory, it will be interesting to see how this show compares to Grimm, the other fairy-tale-related series also debuting this fall, but on NBC. Hopefully they’ll both be great, and will both do extremely well in the ratings. We’re always up for as many good sci-fi/fantasy shows as the networks will allow.

Once Upon a Time is set to premiere on Sunday, October 23 at 8/7c on ABC.
