Once Upon a Time Casts a Hook

Looks like Once Upon a Time is going to be adding an edge to the show in the new season. Or, at least, a pointy thing. And it will be attached to Irish Colin O’Donoghue. He is dreamy, which is appropriate for Storybrooke, but always confusing when it’s a villain. He  in fact looks a lot like Jason Isaacs when he played the role in 2003’s Peter Pan.

But will this Hook be all bad? Will we get his backstory? Will we reluctantly like him, like Mr. Gold/Rumplestiltskin?

THR reported the news and said Hook would be a “pivotal” character. Here’s how the character, if not the actor, was introduced at Comic-Con:

Nicely creepy! It reminds us of the way that The Walking Dead introduced the character of Michonne, even though she hadn’t yet been cast.
