So what we can establish from these couple of TV spots, first clip and final trailer for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, is that even if both sides of conflict have well meaning, peace loving entities, war itself can lie on the backs of the brashest of loose cannons. Both sides have one in this movie.

Again, I have to recommend the book that bridges the gap between this movies (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) and the one preceding it (Rise of the Planet of the Apes). The book is called Dawn of the Planet of the Apes: Firestorm and it contains a deep backstory for Gary Oldman‘s character, Dreyfus, and Koba, the ape who playfully flung that machine gun in the trailer with his maniacally toothy grimace. Even his smile has its own tale. You can read that review here, and it includes a link to get your own copy.
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes starring Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Toby Kebbell, Kodi Smith-Mcphee, Enrique Muriciano and Kirk Acevedo is slated to hit theaters July 11th, 2014.
