Vaughn and Gaiman have partnered up before on a film adaptation of Gaiman’s novel, “Stardust” in 2007. “Sandman” ran from 1989 till 1996 on DC’s Vertigo label and follows “The Lord of the Dreams as he acclimates to the modern world and its mythologies after being imprisoned for decades.”
