Just last week, we brought you the news when Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock) scored the villain role in director J.J. Abrams‘ as yet Untitled Star Trek Sequel, and Doctor Who veteran Noel Clarke joined the cast as ““a family man with a wife and young daughter“.

Now, EW reports that Canadian actress Nazneen Contractor (24, The Blood of Pegasus) has beamed aboard the cast of the hotly anticipated follow-up to Abrams’ 2009 blockbuster. Contractor is said to be portraying the wife of strong Noel Clarke‘s character in the film.

The as yet Untitled Star Trek Sequel is slated to hit theaters on May 17th, 2013.
