Back in August, we brought you a few sneak peek photos from the set of Neill Blomkamp’s mysterious follow-up film to his acclaimed sci-fi hit, District 9. Elysium, stars Sharlto Copley (Men in Black III), Matt Damon (True Grit, The Adjustment Bureau), Wagner Moura (Elite Squad, Elite Squad 2), William Fichtner (The Dark Knight, Drive Angry 3D) and Jodie Foster (Carnage), but still, not much is known about the film.
Now, we have a few more pieces to the puzzle of this futuristic film by Sony Pictures. Reforma magazine has printed some interesting photos from Elysium now shooting in Mexico City.
Most notably, you can see the design for the Los Angeles public transport buses and the trashed out urban landscape that some of the action scenes are filmed in. In the pictures with a circled enlargement, you can see Damon’s character underneath an upturned vehicle. One of the headlines in this piece reads “Matt Damon Brings Aliens to the City” and while we don’t see aliens in these pictures, what’s to say Damon’s character isn’t the alien?

Elysium is slated to hit theaters on March 1st, 2013.
