You may remember that we told you last month that X-Men: Days of Future Past director Bryan Singer had been tweeting casting news about the movie, confirming that James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, and Nicholas Hoult who played young versions of characters Charles Xavier, Raven/Mystique, Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto, and Hank McCoy/Beast in 2012’s X-Men: First Class, would be returning, and that Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, and Hugh Jackman, who played Magneto, Charles Xavier and Wolverine in previous X-Men movies, would also be in the upcoming movie.
Well he’s at it again:
Very excited to welcome #annapaquin, @ellenpage & @shawnrashmore to #XMen #DaysofFuturePast – thank you @brettratner for letting them live!
— Bryan Singer (@BryanSinger) January 26, 2013
Brett Ratnor was the director of 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand, the last X-Men movie in which the trio appeared, as Marie/Rogue, Kitty Pryde/Shadowcat, and Bobby Drake/Iceman, respectively. Singer is apparently also fielding tweeted casting requests:
“@azizansari:@bryansinger any kind of new Indian dude/mutant I can play in Days of Future Past?” In the words of Spock: I shall consider it. — Bryan Singer (@BryanSinger) January 27, 2013
Singer also noted, apparently from his lovely home, that one of his stars is missing his signature Wolverine locks:
Working on script for #Xmen #DaysofFuturePast Distracted by #SAGawardsDon’t cut your hair anymore @realhughjackman twitter.com/BryanSinger/st… — Bryan Singer (@BryanSinger) January 28, 2013
While Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart confirm that their work begins in April:
Magneto & Prof X (Eric & Charles) reunite in Montreal in April. Estragon & Vladimir (Gogo & Didi) and Spooner and Hurst, Broadway in Fall.
— Ian McKellen (@IanMcKellen) January 24, 2013
And so, we “resume the struggle”. MT “@ianmckellen: Magneto & Prof X in Montreal, Estragon & Vladimir on Broadway in Fall.”

We’ll keep you posted as the tweets keep coming…
