Mission: Impossible – Josh Holloway, Vladimir Mashkov and Michael Nyqvist Join The Cast


Just last month we told you that Paula Patton (Swing Vote, Just Wright) had joined the cast of the new Mission: Impossible film, and is playing a young operative who teams up with Tom Cruise‘s Ethan Hunt. Patton joined a cast that already included Cruise, Ving Rhames, Jeremy Renner, Josh Holloway and Simon Pegg.

Now, there are more additions to the cast. According to The Wrap, Russian actor Vladimir Mashkov (Behind Enemy Lines) has joined the cast and will will play a Russian secret agent. Michael Nyqvist(The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) and Josh Holloway (Lost) have also been cast in the film. Nyqvist will play one of the main villains in the film and Holloway will portray the newest member of the IMF team lead by Tom Cruise‘s Ethan Hunt.

The film is being directed by Brad Bird (The Incredibles) and stars Tom Cruise, Ving Rhames, Jeremy Renner, Josh Holloway, Paula Patton, Simon Pegg, Vladimir Mashkov and Michael Nyqvist.

Mission: Impossible IV Mission: Impossible is slated to hit theaters on December 16th, 2011.
