We’ve been right on top of all the casting news coming out of The Maze Runner with the latest being the addition of Teen Wolf star Dylan O’Brien as the lead, Thomas. When Thomas reaches the Maze, one of his first allies and friends is Chuck, who’s only been there a short time. I kind of love that this part went to a relative newcomer.
Blake Cooper (left) definitely has the look that I visualized with reading Chuck’s character and he’s probably got some acting skills, ’cause this role isn’t just a part of the background. It’s a great character and I can’t wait to see what this kid does with the role.
Ki Hong Lee (right) has had some TV work with Mother Lover and The Nine Lives of Chloe King. He will be playing Thomas’ friend and sort of running mentor Minho. This is another really meaty character and I’m really looking to how these guys play off each other.

The news coming out of The Maze Runner has been pretty exciting. If you haven’t already read the book, I encourage you to do so. It’s one of the best and quickest read trilogies I’ve read in a long time and I loved it. Check out our review of the first book of The Maze Runner here.
