In October of last year, we told you that Emma Thompson (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2) had joined the cast of director Barry Sonnenfeld‘s latest installment of the Men in Black franchise, Men in Black III. Thompson will be portraying Agent Oh, the head of MIB.
Now, Deadline reports that Alice Eve (The Raven) has joined the cast. The actress will portray Olivia, the younger, 1969 version of Emma Thompson‘s character, who is hired by the MIB in 1969 as a secretary. While it initially appears she scored the job at MIB because of her looks, she eventually proves her intelligence and ends up running the organization.
Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones will be reprising their roles, Josh Brolin will portray a younger version of Tommy Lee Jones’ character, Agent Kay, and Jemaine Clement will portray the villain. The cast also includes Gemma Arterton (Tamara Drewe), Alec Baldwin (30 Rock), and Sharlto Copley (District 9, The A-Team).
Men in Black III is slated to hit theaters on May 25th, 2012.
