After the first film, which had an estimated production budget of $12 million went on to make $105 million at the box office, it’s no surprise that a sequel would be on the way for the Josh Trank directed Chronicle, the sci-fi super-powered found footage film which was penned by Max Landis.
Deadline reports that Landis has officially been brought on board by 20th Century Fox to write the sequel. No word on whether Josh Trank, who is rumored to be in talks to direct Venom’s solo trip to the big-screen will return to helm the Chronicle sequel or not.
No production or release dates have been announced for the as yet Untitled Chronicle Sequel.
