Max Borenstein Hired to Pen the GODZILLA Remake for Legendary

Back in July, we brought you the news when writer David S. Goyer (Man of Steel, The Dark Knight Rises) was hired by Legendary Pictures to pen the script for their hotly anticipated remake of Godzilla, to be directed by Gareth Edwards (Monsters).

Now, THR reports that Max Borenstein (The Seventh Son) has now been brought on by Legendary to pen the script. While Borenstein is relatively unknown at this point, he recently penned the script for Art of the Steal, re-wrote the script for The Seventh Son and is writing Jimi, the Jimi Hendrix biopic as well.

Godzilla is tentatively slated to hit theaters in 2014.
