Marvel has revealed that it is to release five new What If? titles in December.

The one-shots were announced by editors Justin Gabrie and Chris Allo at Marvel’s ‘Cup O’ Joe’ panel at the Toronto Fan Expo yesterday.

The lineup features What If? Spider-Man: House of M, What If? Secret Invasion, What If? World War Hulk, What If? Daredevil vs Elektra and What If? Astonishing X-Men.

Gabrie teased that Secret Invasion explores what would have happened had the Skrulls defeated Earth’s superheroes, while Astonishing X-Men reveals what could have happened if Jean Grey had been resurrected instead of Colossus.

Allo told CBR:

“I’m pretty proud of this group of What If?s and hope we get to do them again next year.”

The What If? series sees various writers and artists re-imagining classic Marvel stories as if characters had made different decisions or events unfolded in another way.
