Marvel/ Madhouse Anime: New Trailers For ‘Iron Man’ And ‘Wolverine’


marvel-anime-comic-con-posterMarvel teams up with Japanese animation studio, Madhouse (Ninja Scroll, Vampire Hunter D, Death Note) and Eagle Award-winning writer, Warren Ellis , to produce a series of anime, taking a Japanese spin on four of Marvel’s superheroes, aimed at the Japanese audience.  At a panel at San Diego’s Comic Con 2009, Ellis screened these trailers for the anime versions of “Iron Man” and “Wolverine”.  The series is to be aired on the Animax channel in Japan this coming spring of 2010.  No word yet regarding which two Marvel characters the other two anime will feature.

The Iron Man anime looks pretty good, but the Wolverine one causes me to pause.  The anime version of Wolverine is far too feminine for my tastes!
