Martin Campbell’s Green Lantern Will Spend Significant Time IN SPACE

Director Martin Campbell is out promoting his latest film, EDGE OF DARKNESS (starring Mel Gibson), and the poor guy can’t go anywhere without people launching Green Lantern questions in his direction. Luckily, that means that we get some more insight into what he’s planning. During this most recent interview, Campbell said that GL will see plenty of action in outer space.

Campbell said,

“I don’t know what the percentage is, but there’s quite a bit in space, The initial trip up there, the training sessions he has to go through in order to become a Green Lantern. Then, of course at the end, he goes back up to Oa again.”

This of course might make you wonder just how much time will be spent with the earthbound characters like Hector Hammond (Peter Sarsgaard), and Carol Ferris (Blake Lively).

Campbell says he’s juggling it all,

“There are a couple of bits [on Earth] in between [the space scenes]. I think there will be enough [of a balance between space and Earth] to satisfy everybody.”
