There’s a little online adventure that will lead you to a new trailer for Oz: The Great and Powerful. I am tempted to call it a game, but it’s very short, and there isn’t really very much to do to get to the ending. It is, like the movie trailer, very pretty, but it comes with some system requirements and some loading times, but yes. It was pretty. So we’ll keep with calling it a small online adventure, and not a game.

One of the requirements of this adventure is that it will only run on Google Chrome. So you’ll need to download that, if you haven’t already. Then you can head to Finding Your Way to Oz and start your adventure through the grounds of a circus, then to the big top, and then finally out to the balloon ride where there is an ominous storm building. Navigate your way through these levels and you’ll have your reward, or you can watch it here.

I think this will look even better in 3D, don’t you? And in other Oz news, Disney announced in a press release that Mariah Carey will be releasing a song “Almost Home” for Oz: The Great and Powerful.

She’s currently working on the music video with director David LaChapelle who worked with her on “Loverboy.” Mariah Carey describes the song in the Disney press release.

“‘Almost Home’ has a message that works beautifully with the film. It’s a feel-good record, evoking the feeling of reaching your home and being with people that you love.”

Can’t wait to hear it! Oz: The Great and Powerful, starring James Franco, Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, and Michelle Williams, is slated to hit theaters on March 8th, 2013.
