The $200 million budget Disney live action flick Maleficent is doing a reshoot on its opening, which isn’t really unusual on big budget films. They’re bringing in a new director who has rewritten the scenes, who will work with first time director Robert Stromberg on the reshoots.

Snow White and the Huntsman writer John Lee Hancock has already written the new scenes, which won’t require the presence of title character Maleficent, played by Angelina Jolie. This according to THR.

Maleficent starring Angelina Jolie, Elle Fanning, Imelda Staunton, Miranda Richardson and Juno Temple is slated to hit theaters May 30, 2014.
