Ah, and the alien baddie of SyFy’s “Stargate Universe” is revealed! Robert Knepper (“Prison Break”, “Heroes”) has been cast as Simeon, “a dangerous Lucian Alliance soldier who clashes with Robert Carlyle’s Dr. Rush”. (I suppose it’s a spoiler to find out that Dr. Rush isn’t dead, but we really didn’t think he was just going to go away on that planet where Col. Young left him, did we?)

Knepper will have a multiple-episode arc. Not surprisingly, his role as Simeon will be “strong and intimidating”. Simeon is “scary in that you’re never sure what he will do.” Knepper’s character has some tricks up his sleeve. He supposedly has secrets that “he would die to protect”.

How’s this for our first real alien confrontation on SGU?
