Lost Veteran Joins the Cast of ONCE UPON A TIME

As we have been telling you since they first pitched the show, Once Upon a Time is the creation of two former Lost executive producers, Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis, who have stated that Lost co-creator Damon Lindelof is the show’s godfather. They have hired Lost production people and scattered Lost Easter eggs throughout at least the early episodes of the new series. The Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) appeared briefly in Lost as one of the two women guarding the Looking Glass station. And we told you back in August about Alan Dale (Charles Widmore) being cast as Prince Charming’s father.

Now TV Guide is reporting that lovely Lostie Emilie de Ravin, who played Aaron’s and Squirrel Baby’s mom Claire, will be guesting on the new show as Belle of Beauty and the Beast:

Details of her role are scarce, but we hear Once‘s Belle will have a connection to Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle). No word on whether the titular Beast will appear, but Gaston is slated to pop up as well.

It will be great to see Claire again, and interesting to see if they let her keep her adorable Aussie accent. Which other Losties would make good storybook/Storybrooke characters? There’s a fair amount of time to get them in there, since the show was recently awarded a full first season order from the network. Congrats to the show and the fans!

Once Upon a Time airs Sundays at 8/7c on ABC.
