LOST Event Coming To A Big Screen Near You?

The New York Times lecture series “Times Talks” is hosting two very special sci-fi guests on May 20th. “Lost” fans will be stoked to know that executive producer Carlton Cuse and co-creator/ executive producer Damon Lindelof will be talking about the show’s legacy and finale in an event called “Behind the Scenes of ‘Lost’”. New York Times entertainment editor Lorne Manly will be interviewing the two. Though tickets are sold out for the actual event at The Times Center in NYC, you may still get the chance to see this special talk with “Lost” producers on the big screen.

A chain of theaters called Celebration Cinemas will be showing this “Behind the Scenes of ‘Lost’” in their theaters in Michigan. For this event, a clip show of the past and current season of the show along with a special sneak peek of one-minute of footage of the series finale (that airs three days later) will be shown. The live Q&A will follow with fans being able to text in their questions for the producers.

Here’s the official event description from Celebration Cinemas in Michigan:

Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof, the creators of LOST, will have an in-depth live discussion about the show’s creation, its six years on the air, and its finale on May 23, 2010. The TimesTalks Participants include Award winning Carlton Cuse, who currently executive produces LOST, along with Damon Lindelof, the co-creator and executive producer for the LOST series. The discussion will be interspersed with video clips from past shows as well as a one-minute sneak peak from the finale. The discussion will be followed by a 30-40 minute Q&A with questions taken from the live crowd at the NYT Center, pre-submitted fan questions and questions texted from guests on event night. Guests will be offered the opportunity to text in a question.

This begs the question of what other theaters will be screening a similar event in a theater near you. Keep your eyes peeled for your opportunity!
