Lois Lowrey Gives THE GIVER Adaptation Praise

the giver wide

We’ve seen author Lois Lowrey giving some feedback in featurettes for The Giver, but with the premiere date a little more than a month away she wants fans of the book to know there’s nothing to worry about. In a new poster featuring actors Brenton Thwaites and Odeya Rush, she’s quoted with the following:

It’s all there. The boy. The old man. The baby. The sled. If you loved the book take my word for it — you’ll love the movie as well.

And if it’s good enough for the author of the book, then it’s good enough for me. I think a good number of authors are involved in movie adaptations, but I think it’s wise to put her blessing out like this. Take a look at the poster.
