Leonard Nimoy has revealed that he will permanently give up working in TV and movies following his final appearance on Fox’s Fringe. The 79 year-old actor also said that he’s leaving the legendary role of Star Trek‘s Spock to Zachary Quinto.
Nimoy said,
“I’ve been doing this professionally for 60 years. I love the idea of going out on a positive note. I’ve had a great, great time.”
Nimoy apparently won’t be making an appearance in the sequel to J.J. Abrams‘ Star Trek and had nothing but praise for Quinto taking his iconic role into the future
“He’s a terrific actor, he looks the part, and it’s time to give him some space, and I’m very flattered the character will continue.”
