Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures have purchased a 25-page science fiction treatment by Travis Beacham titled, Pacific Rim. Beacham was the original screenwriter for recent remake of Clash of the Titans and is currently writing 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea for 20th Century Fox, as well as The Black Hole for Walt Disney Pictures and Tron Legacy director Joseph Kosinski.

Deadline reports that Pacific Rim is set in a future in which malevolent creatures threaten the earth, the planet must band together and use highly advanced technology to eradicate the growing menace.
