Legendary Acquires Father and Son Dragon Slaying Story SLAYER

Legendary Pictures, whom we just told you the other day had hired director Tim Miller (Deadpool) to helm the big-screen adaptation of the Warren Ellis comic book series Gravel has added yet another project to its future slate, with the acquisition of Martin Helgeland‘s fantasy spec screenplay Slayer

THR reports that Helgeland, the son of veteran screenwriter Brian Helgeland (L.A. Confidential, Man on Fire) penned the modern-day story about a young doctor whose estranged father dies and he finds out the old man was a dragon and creature slayer. The doctor must become a slayer too.

No production or release date has been set for Slayer.
